Actinic Keratosis Clinical Trials: What is Actinic Keratosis?
Actinic keratosis (AK) is a precancerous skin condition caused by long-term sun exposure. AKs appear as rough, scaly patches or spots, most commonly on sun-exposed areas such as the face, scalp, and arms. While AKs are not skin cancer, they can progress to squamous cell carcinoma if left untreated.
We are currently enrolling patients with 10–15 visible actinic keratoses (AKs) on the face or scalp. If you have multiple rough, scaly patches on your face consistent with AK, you may qualify for participation in this study.
